Drag Race: 800-PS BMW XM vs. near-stock Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT

The YouTube team of Dragtimes once again decided to compare cars from two different weight categories. A part-electric BMW XM went up against a sporty Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT. Both had aftermarket mods installed.

Starting with the Bavarian, its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 was tuned to deliver over 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW). This isn’t to say that the XM wasn’t good enough in factory spec. It was a rare Label Red version commanding 748 PS (738 hp / 550 kW) and 1,000 Nm (738 lv-ft) of torque from the start.

As for the Cayenne, it only received new downpipes. The output remained at 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft). All-wheel-drive and 8AT are something both cars have in this race.

The only aspect in which the BMW XM is notably weaker is its weight, which comes to 2,795 kg (6,162 lbs). The opponent weighs nearly 450 kilos (1,000 lbs) less.
