Aston Martin hits brake on electrification plan

The British sports car manufacturer has corrected its EV goals moving forward.

The company stresses that the production of its first EV has not been canceled – just pushed back from 2025 to 2027. And as for regular internal combustion cars, these will apparently stay in production past 2030 because there is still a steady demand for them.

While this is sad news for everyone who wanted to see an Aston Martin EV, the company remains dedicated to electrification in the long term. All its V8 and V12 powertrains will be hybridized in their respective next generations.
