Ford GT styled after Michael Jordan’s sneakers goes on sale

“Dare to Dream”, a large collection of nearly 300 items including several dozen cars, will cross the auction block in late May. Its biggest highlight is a Ford GT finished in red, white and black to resemble the iconic Air Jordan sneakers released four decades ago. The supercar alone is being estimated north of $1,000,000.

Produced in 2022, it has 265 km (165 miles) on the counter and retains the original 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 rated at 655 PS (646 hp / 482 kW). This means it can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds and reach 330 km/h (205 mph).

What sets the car apart from every other second-gen Ford GT is the livery. The main color is red, while the doors and the hood are offset in white. The trim bits around the lower body and the wheels are gloss black. Black is also the dominant shade in the cabin, but occasional red and white inserts help the interior look in line with the rest of the car.

The seller claims that Ford officially agreed to customize this GT in-house upon the request of its original buyer, who had it optioned with $90,000 worth of extra stuff. As such, it’s still a stock car with no third-party modifications.
