Cadillac Optiq EV presents cabin

The all-electric Cadillac Optiq SUV that was announced last summer has now been shown in from the inside. The fit-and-finish looks almost on par with the deluxe Lyriq, but still more on the affordable side. The full reveal will take place in China later this month, but the car will be sold outside of Asia as well.

Judging by the images, the Optiq will inherit its curved dash/infotainment display cluster from the Lyriq. The same goes for the steering wheel and the physical buttons providing access to various in-car functions. The front panel also looks similar between the two, while the transmission tunnel is different.

Sized 4,822 x 1,912 x 1,642 mm (188.4 x 74.7 x 64.2 inches) large with nearly 3 meters (117 inches) of wheelbase, the Optiq will most likely slot right under the Lyriq in the manufacturer’s lineup. It’s already official that it will ship with two RWD powertrains to choose from, rated at 204 and 245 PS (201 and 242 hp; 150 and 180 kW, respectively). There will also be an AWD version with roughly 290 PS (286 hp / 214 kW) at its disposal.

Rumor has it the company will primarily offer the Optiq in China, but will bring it to the United States before the end of the year. If true, that would make it the marque’s least expensive electric SUV in North America.
