AC Schnitzer imbues BMW X5 LCI with new strengths

The German tuner has announced a wide range of aftermarket options for the BMW X5 (G05) LCI, landing the crossover with an aerodynamic kit, new suspension and wheels and an engine boost.

Starting with the diesel version, it went from its stock 352 PS (347 hp / 259 kW) to 382 PS (377 hp / 281 kW) courtesy of a software tune. The torque went up 60 Nm (45 lb-ft) to 780 Nm (575 lb-ft). The hybrid X5 LCI was tuned in a similar fashion, landing with 551 PS (543 hp / 405 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.

You can tell the AC Schnitzer X5 by the company’s trademark body kit, which includes a special front splitter to help reduce drag. The wheel arches are occupied by AC5 Flowforming alloy wheels available in a variety of two-tone finishes, and the spring-based suspension can be dropped by approximately 20-30 mm (0.8-1.2”) at both axles.

As usual, the interior can be decorated with small but meaningful details such as aluminum accents on the pedals, the iDrive controller and the paddle shifters. Most of the parts can already be preordered.
