Kia Tasman previewed ahead of launch in 2025

The South Korean automaker has previewed its next pickup truck, the Tasman, in a colorful livery designed by an artist. The sales won’t start until 2025, but the company has already shed light on some details.

The wrap is called “The Path Never Taken”. Its author is none other than Richard Boyd Dunlop, an artist from Australia. Commenting on the design, Kia Global Design VP Karim Habib said it was inspired by the beauty of the Australian wilderness and tried to capture the adventurous spirit of the vehicle.

It’s already obvious that the Tasman will sport a boxy exterior similar to that of other large Kia models, as well as an upright front fascia with a detailed bumper, accentuated wheel arches, and plenty of ground clearance.

Among other things, the wrap is a clear hint that Australia is going to be the key market for the truck, where it will go up against the likes of Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux. The company mentioned the Middle East countries and South Korea as other potential destinations.
