Tesla Model Y won’t be getting a facelift in 2024

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that the company’s best-selling electric SUV, the Model Y, will not be receiving a mid-generational refresh until the end of the year.

According to Musk, the company is constantly working on improving its EVs as is. In simpler terms, this means that whenever you decide to buy a Model Y, it will be a better vehicle than its older version produced, say, six months ago. This “continuous improvement” approach to production eliminates the need for the updates we know as facelifts. Musk added that the Model Y was a big seller as is.

This certainly sounds reassuring for Tesla fans, but it’s worth reminding that the Model 3 sedan did receive a normal facelift last fall; the Model Y could needs one, too.
