Roush squeezes 821 PS out of the Mustang GT

Roush Performance has enlisted the help of Magnuson Superchargers to develop a tuning package for the 2024 Ford Mustang GT. It lets the muscle car produce as much thrust as the GTD version for $9,995.

The package is called Limited Edition Phase 2. Once installed, it raises the output of the stock V8 to 821 PS (810 hp / 604 kW) and 853 Nm (630 lb-ft) of torque. This translates into an impressive boost of 335 PS (330 hp / 246 kW) and 264 Nm (195 lb-ft) over the original.

There is no detailed list of components being replaced, but the company mentions an inverted Eaton TVS R2650 charger with a front inlet, a couple of intercoolers and boost pressures reaching 13 psi at 7,500 revolutions per minute. The entire fuel system, the pumps and the ignition have been overhauled, too.

All buyers of the Limited Edition kit will find the autograph of company founder Jack Roush engraved on the engine deck lid with a laser. Regular Phase I and Phase II packages are scheduled to go on sale later on. Roush doesn’t reveal much about them, but it’s already official that they will be fully compatible with manual and automatic Mustang models.
