Kanye West’s camper with pop-up third axle goes on sale

Cars&Bids is selling a one-off Mauck MSV 1120S Elite that once belonged to Kanye West’s Yeezy LLC. It remains to be seen how much the celebrity past will be worth to the prospective buyers.

Mauck built around 100 such camper vans in the late 1990s. This one was assembled in 1996 and was the second in the batch. Like around two-thirds of these campers, it came equipped with a liftable third axle that could lower itself onto the road when the vehicle was heavily loaded and retract again when not used.

The exterior of the example on sale is also original with exotic hinged doors at the front, air suspension and lighting scavenged from all across the U.S. car market. Specifically, the headlights come from the Ford Aeromax, the high beams from the Dodge Viper and the taillights from the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Powering the ride is a 6.3-liter GM V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. With under 100,000 km (62,000 miles) on the odo, the engine can be considered almost new. The interior houses leather seats and sofas, a mini-kitchen, a TV set and an audio system. An autonomous power generator on board supplies the electricity. The listing points out that AC and power windows are out of order.
