VW ID.Buzz gets reimagined as a camping van

The all-electric Volkswagen ID.Buzz has yet to start shipping in North America, but Peace Vans already stocks a variety of camping accessories for the model.

There are three packages in total. The simplest one is known as the Buzz.Box and replaces the third seat row with an array of cabinets. Opening the tailgate gives you access to an outdoor kitchenette with a single gas burner, a mini-fridge and other amenities. The other drawers can be used for storing dishes, the charging cord and other things needed on a trip. A wireless smartphone charger is provided as well. The asking price is $7,995 for the base version.

Next up the list is the Buzz.Box.Sleeper. It targets those who like to spend the occasional night out and adds a reasonably sized bed for two to the options listed above. It starts from $10,995.

If full-on camping in an electric van is your ambition, consider the final option called the Buzz.Camper. It brings along a full-fledged kitchen, a spacious dining area with sofas unfolding into beds, and what looks like particularly comfortable front seats. The important thing to note is that this version hasn’t been finalized in terms of features yet, so the price isn’t available.
