Chery dreams about a speedy wagon EV

The Chinese automotive giant’s next electric vehicle is a five-door family hauler with a 3-second launch time and 30,000 RPM under the hood.

The Hunting Wild Concept belongs to the Fulwin lineup and features a rather aggressive-looking front end with geometrically complex headlights, a sloped roof and a two-piece rear spoiler included as standard. The low-drag wheels and the rear end bear Fulwin badges, there are video cameras where mirrors usually are, and the doors make do without handles.

Inside, the infotainment system runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 hardware and has a 15.6-inch display. There is a 23-channel audio system on board and an AI-powered voice assistant.

The powertrain output hasn’t been revealed yet, but we do know that the concept car has a solid-state battery pack on board that’s OEM-rated at an impressive 1,500 kilometers (932 miles) of range. It also features a motor that revs up to 30,000 RPM and takes three seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill. Despite its wagon body, the concept can hit a top speed of 260 km/h (161 mph).

In addition to the above, the automaker mentions such features as four-wheel steering, a dual-chamber air suspension setup with adaptive shocks, a steer-by-wire steering wheel, and a Level 3 autonomous driving system.
