F1 driver tunes Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale to perfection

Alfa Romeo has reported a successful conclusion of the final adjustment and tests of its latest supercar, the 33 Stradale. Here’s a video shedding some light on the process.

As you can see, Formula 1 driver Waltteri Bottas personally conducted some of the pre-production trials and helped the Italian company tweak the car to his exacting specifications. He bought a 33 Stradale for himself and drove it on Alfa Romeo’s Balocco raceway.

The company’s next flagship was introduced last summer. We were promised two versions – one powered by a 3.0-liter V6 rated at 620 PS (612 hp / 456 kW) and the other one packing a fully electric powertrain with 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW). As you’d expect, the video here is dedicated to the ICE version.

The 33 Stradale can sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in less than three seconds and doesn’t hit its acceleration ceiling until 333 km/h (207 mph). It offers a choice between two main drive presets – Strada (“street”) and Pista (“track”). Only 33 examples are being made.
