GAC & Huawei create a joint enterprise in China
The new company still goes under a temporary name, “GH Project”, but it already has production plans for a part-electric car priced around 300,000 Yuan (U.S. $40,000).
In last September, GAC and Huawei unveiled a concept of a car they considered releasing under their common branding. You will find it in the gallery and the video here. Now, the two companies have established a joint enterprise with a registered capital of 1,500,000,000 Yuan (roughly $205,000,000).
Later on, the new car factory will be integrated into Huawei’s HIMA infrastructure.
