Godzilla-swapped Ford Bronco improves upon previous SEMA design

RTR Vehicles came to the SEMA-2022 with Fun-Runner LT, a nice-looking SUV with Ford Bronco underpinnings (see video). It has since continued working on the project, improving things here and there, until it decided to swap the engine to a 7.3-liter Godzilla V8 normally powering Ford’s Super Duty truck lineup.

In its standard form, the mill outputs 421 PS (415 hp / 310 kW) and 644 Nm (475 lb-ft) of torque. It may not seem that much by SEMA standards, but consider how much torque those humongous 42-inch tires need to get rolling on the trail. The photos may not convey it, but every wheel is 1,075 mm tall.

The rest of the build is every bit as demanding when it comes to engine power. 74Weld heavy-duty billet portal axles aren’t easy to get spinning, and new Triton Engineering suspension absorbs much of the forward momentum with its 461 mm (18 inches) of travel. At this point, hydraulic steering isn’t just a welcome addition but an absolute must.

Elsewhere, this Bronco wears an RTR front grille and custom side panels including fenders (mostly to let the tires turn freely). Rugged bumpers and metallic skid plates keep the SUV safe, while Recaro ORV seats with enhanced lateral support make sure the occupants stay planted no matter the terrain.

The Bronco Godzilla seen here is a one-off project car and is not for sale, however, you can always ask RTR for a similar build.
