VW North America appoints a new CEO

Kjell Gruner is the new head of Volkswagen Group in North America.

Pablo Di Si, who had represented the German automotive group as a whole and the Volkswagen brand in particular in the United States, submitted a resignation notice.

Gruner had spent 15 years working in Volkswagen’s marketing department prior to this appointment. Around a year ago, he left the company for Rivian, but soon returned. The two automakers have recently signed a cooperation agreement, so Gruner’s comeback is not surprising.
