Exeed introduces its next flagship EV

The Exeed Tianji features a six-seat cabin, ladder-like running boards and plenty of modern electronic features for self-driving and off-roading.

The SUV is 5.3 meters (207 inches) long with a wheelbase spanning 3,200 mm (125 inches). It runs on a stretched “L” version of Exeed’s E0X platform. The long chassis is what allows it to have three comfortable seat rows in the cabin two seats in each. The seats in the front two rows swivel towards the doors for easier getting in and out of the car.

Drivers get a projected heads-up display spanning the entire width of the windshield, a vertical, height-adjustable infotainment screen and a yoke-shaped steering wheel. Options include a satellite comm system and a roof-mounted surveillance drone.

With intelligent air-ride suspension, four-wheel steering and AI-powered Falcon 900 ADAS package, the Exeed Tianji should be supremely capable both on and off the trodden path. The manufacturer claims it is capable of climbing 45-degree steep slopes and wading water as high as 900 mm (35.16 inches).

From the technical perspective, the Tianji can be a fully electric SUV with 1000V internals or a 800V range-extender hybrid. The former option gives you four motors driving one wheel each with a combined 1,196 PS (1,180 hp / 880 kW). The hybrid specs remain to be disclosed, but Exeed claims it can travel up to 300 km (186 miles) in electric mode and up to 2,000 km (1,242 miles) in hybrid mode.
