The Ford tuning specialists over at Roush have released another option package for the F-150. It’s called the RT6 and includes new wheels with tires, suspension upgrades, a rugged body kit and other off-road accessories.
Perhaps most importantly, the pickup truck gets the full Roush 6.0 Performance Suspension System. It introduces coilovers to the front end, dual-shock dampers, sway and traction bars, and progressive rate springs. The steering gets its own share of tweaks, which is relevant because the ground clearance is 152 mm (full 6 inches) higher than stock.
In addition to the above, the front bumper now has a skid plate underneath and a custom radiator grille above it with integrated marker lights. The hood has vents, and 20-inch matte-black wheels come shod in 35-inch General Tire Grabber A/TX tires. More subtle changes have been made to the wheel arches and the exhaust system.
The interior makes do with the usual branded mats and key fobs. The whole RT6 package comes in at $23,995, but you can have it installed alongside another package called Premium. That one includes an active-valve exhaust system, new leather seats and carbon-fiber interior décor.
