Hyundai teases a new EV for China

The Beijing-Hyundai joint enterprise is working on a fully electric crossover for the Chinese domestic market – here’s the first teaser pic and a few camouflaged test shots.

The “spy shots” seen here are official and depict the still-to-be-named car running tests in a snowy region somewhere. The one thing that’s certain is, it looks nothing like Hyundai’s recent Ioniq 9 model. The body panels and proportions are all different and don’t match anything we’ve seen before.

Hyundai says the EV was co-designed with its engineering HQ in Shanghai. More info will be revealed later today.
