Isuzu to build a factory in the USA

The Japanese automaker plans to invest $280,000,000 into the construction of a manufacturing site in Greenville, South Carolina.

This new plant will reside on an area of 750,000 square meters and specialize in assembling N- and F-series trucks. It is expected to launch production in 2027 and employ 700 people. The nominal production capacity is estimated at 50,000 units per year.

Back in 2024, Isuzu exported around 44,000 trucks to the United States. The Japanese company doesn’t offer anything but trucks in North America, but still believes that it can increase its market share significantly by localizing the assembly.
