Video: A Manhart-tuned BMW M3 challenges a stock Porsche 911

Manhart has tinkered with the ECU of the new BMW G80 M3, raising its output to 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft) of torque. One of the customers was so impressed with the performance after the upgrade that he challenged a 15-year-old Porche 911 to a drag race.

As you may remember, the Bavarian saloon benefits from a super-fast ZF eight-speed auto transmission and xDrive AWD. In contrast, the Porsche 911 (997.2) has a PDK dual-clutch transmission and the drive on the rear axle. It hits the wheels with a superior 650 PS (641 hp / 478 kW) and weighs around 100 kg (220 lbs) less than its opponent.

In the initial race, the winner crossed the finish line in 11.16 seconds and the loser was just two-tenths of a second behind. Another race saw both drivers improve upon their results. But which one won? Watch the two-minute-long video to find out!
