Meet Mojave Silver Wolf, an opulent daily driver with military roots
Expedition Motor Company has spent 2,300 hours creating a comfortable off-roader on the chassis of a Mercedes-Benz 250GD army vehicle, and here is the result.
The car rides on all-new suspension and benefits from an all-new interior trim that makes intensive use of weather-resistant materials. There are two roof designs to choose between – “bikini top” and traditional soft top. The body comes finished in a shade known as Mojave Silver, hence the name of the project.
The stock engine is no longer under the hood, either. An OM602 diesel toils thee, driving all four wheels. This engine is known as one of the world’s most resilient units, a “million-mile” block. Expedition Motor doesn’t specify the output, but it usually lies within the range of 90–129 PS for this model (89–127 hp; 66–95 kW).
If you feel like driving a cool army car like this on public roads, set aside at least €192,000.
