Mansory dials up the heat on another G-Class 6×6

A couple of months ago, the tuners over at Mansory unveiled a rather bold and unusual take on the Mercedes-Benz G 63 6×6 AMG. The three-axle off-roading truck received a deluxe cabin trim while becoming an even more capable overlander than before. Another, similar example was released earlier this week – let’s take a look at it.

On the outside, the pre-facelift AMG pickup was resprayed in scratch-resistant paint with stylish copper accents throughout. Its already-high suspension was lifted again considerably, and a new front bumper was installed with a winch for recovery. Bold fender flares, a new radiator grille, LED DRLs and an expedition rack with a light bar on it rounded off the exterior modifications.

You wouldn’t normally expect a dirt-ploughing workhorse of a truck to have a luxury interior, but this is Mansory we are talking about. The whole cabin flaunts expensive black suede upholstery with body-matching copper accents and carbon-fiber trims. The headliner imitates a starry sky with hundreds of LEDs, and the back row is represented by a couple of extra-comfy seats divided by a wide console. It seems to contain a cup holder, an ashtray and a storage box.

While it’s an open question whether the owner will ever drive this particular G-Class 6×6 on rough terrain, it certainly comes equipped with everything necessary for the task. This includes a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 boosted by Mansory to 900 PS (888 hp / 664 kW) and 1,200 Nm (885 lb-ft) of torque.
