Changan officially enters Europe

The Chinese car brand just reported starting sales in Germany.

The company held a ceremony dedicated to its European expansion in Meinz, Germany, previewing some of its future vehicles and sharing other plans. Customers in the country will soon be able to order a Deepal S07. The same electric SUV is known on its domestic market as the Shenlan S7.

Changan hopes to have 100 authorized dealerships up and running in 10 European markets before the end of the year, including as many as 60 in the UK and 40 in the EU. The network is expected to grow to 1,000 dealerships by the beginning of the next decade.

The company is also planning on constructing a spare parts logistics complex in the Netherlands.
