Ford Mustang designer Anthony Lo resigns

Anthony Lo, Design Director at Ford responsible for creating the latest Mustang generation, has confirmed leaving the company on May 14 after just three years in the office.

Lo was appointed to the position in spring 2021. He came to Ford from Renault, where he was responsible for sketching up all kinds of concept cars and new models. Renault Captur, Dacia Duster and many other models were primarily designed by him. In fact, some experts believe that Renault Group owed most of its recent financial success in Europe to him.

Anthony Lo’s previous career included working for General Motors, Opel and Saab brands as an exterior designer, and Mercedes-Maybach. He came up with the first-generation Audi A4 in the early 1990s and began his career at Lotus.

Commenting on the leave, Lo said he needed to “explore more opportunities”. He neglected to mention where he was going next.
