Lamborghini Miura gets full JDM treatment

Liberty Walk, the creator of some of the craziest body kits known to man, has finally posted some actual photos of its Lamborghini Miura project. The coupe ended up with a much more aggressive bodywork dominated by a huge rear wing.

Fans of the Raging Bull marque consider the Miura a timeless icon of style and sometimes hand over multiple millions of USD for well-kept examples. In their defense, Liberty Walk scored a damaged and dirty example for the conversion, so keeping the original body panels was not an option from the start.

In the lengthy redesign phase that followed, the coupe landed with bold fender flares, a new front bumper and hood, an impressive rear diffuser, elaborate side sill extensions and the rear wing mentioned above. The suspension looks slammed, too, even though it’s not mentioned.

Complementing the new look is a new wheel set making the Miura look like a modern racecar. Whether the engine is stock is unclear. The original 3.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 didn’t deliver more than 350 PS (345 hp / 257 kW) in the best of days, but LW may stick it with a couple of turbos for all we know. After all, a car with a production run of 762 units can’t be too special, right?

Stay tuned for the Tokyo Auto Salon premiere if you want to get a closer look at what could easily pass for the world’s most polarizing Miura.
