Video: David Beckham teaches Maserati Levante to cook donuts

David Beckham has officially become a Maserati Ambassador and gone on to his title privileges to drive a maxed-out Levante Trofeo SUV.

The company posted a video of the star footballer repeatedly sending his ride into a controlled drift and cooking up smoky donuts under an overpass.

According to the ex-player of Manchester, Real and the England national football team, he received valuable experience during the shoot and used it to hone his drifting skills.

The Trofeo is the top-of-the-line Levante spec coming with a 3.8-liter Ferrari V8 capable of 590 PS (582 hp / 434 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. It need less than four seconds to get to 100 km/h (62 mph) from standstill and maxes out above 300 km/h (186 mph). An eight-speed automatic transmission drives all four wheels.
