McMurtry Speirling reigns supreme over Top Gear test track

A McMurtry Speirling Pure VP1 piloted by The Stig has set an absolute record of the Top Gear test track, lapping it up in 55.9 seconds.

The circuit is 2.82 kilometers (1.75 miles) long and features a rather challenging layout. The previous best time of 59 seconds was set by Fernando Alonso driving a 2004 Renault R24 – a Formula 1 racecar, no less.

The first deliveries of the extreme electric hypercar are slated to begin in 2026. Only 100 will be made in total, and McMurtry just released a pricing update saying it will start from £895,000 (U.S. $1,189,500 at the current rate) before any applicable taxes and extra costs.
