Hyundai Ioniq 9 revealed with full details

The Ioniq 9 is Hyundai’s largest crossover on the Ioniq lineup. It offers up to 620 km (385 miles) of range per charge and will be available for ordering from early 2025.

The SUV is sized 5,060 x 1,980 x 1,790 millimeters large. This roughly corresponds to 197.7 x 77.4 x 70 inches. The wheelbase amounts to 3,130 mm (122.3 inches).

The most affordable spec announced thus far is called Long Range and utilized a single RWD motor rated at 218 PS (215 hp / 160 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque. The battery pack delivers 110.3 kilowatt-hours of juice for the range mentioned above. sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) succeeds in 9.4 seconds.

If that’s a tad too sluggish for you, a superior spec called Long Range AWD adds a front motor with 95 PS (94 hp / 70 kW) and 255 Nm (188 lb-ft) of torque of its own. It slashes the sprint time to 6.7 seconds, which is not bad at all given the sheer bulk of the car.

And then there’s a spec called Performance, packing dual 218-PS motors for a 5.2-second sprint time. The range isn’t specified, but charging from a 350kW charger will get the battery from 10 to 80 percent in just 24 minutes.

After it hits the showroom floors in South Korea, the Ioniq 9 will gradually begin shipping to other markets including Europe and the USA. Note that all the technical specifications listed here are only valid for the domestic (Korean) version.
