Skoda Elroq production begins

Following an introduction last fall, Skoda has started producing its mid-size Elroq SUV EV in Mladá Boleslav, Czechia.

The automaker’s main factory is now churning out three models – the Elroq, the full-size Enyaq, and the Octavia. Some of Octavia production has been moved to a secondary site in Kvasiny to free up capacities.

With a planned production rate of 600 Elroq units per day, Skoda seems to be taking its electric vehicle lineup very seriously. The SUV is around 4.5 meters (175 inches) long and should sell well in Europe.
