2025 Nissan Magnite touches down in India

Nissan has refreshed its subcompact crossover Magnite, one of India’s cheapest CUVs on the market. It is set to go on sale in over 65 countries in 2025, including those with right-hand traffic, so let’s have a closer look.

The exterior looks updated with a redesigned front grille, eye-catching “rugged” bumper trims, and new DRL light patterns. The taillights also sport a new pattern, and customers can now opt for a new copper tone for the exterior. An alternative 16-inch wheel set is also available.

The trim inside combines the copper hue mentioned above with a practical black. There is an updated 7-inch dashboard, more USB ports for gadgets, and ambient lighting. The standard trim also includes six airbags, smart high beams, an 8-inch infotainment screen, surround view cameras, and an HVAC with an ionizer.

Things stay unchanged under the hood. The default option is a 1.0-liter naturally aspirated engine rated at 72 PS (71 hp / 53 kW) and 96 Nm (71 lb-ft) of torque. A boosted version of the same engine delivers 100 PS (99 hp / 74 kW) and 160 Nm (118 lb-ft). Five-speed manual is the default transmission type, but you can go for a single-clutch semi-auto (NA only) or CVT (turbo only).

Prices range from 599,000 to 1,150,000 Indian Rupees.
