Honda 0 sedan and SUV slated for production in 2026

Honda has attended this year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) with two all-electric vehicle concepts called simply Zero. Both are slated for production next year, so let’s take a closer look.

While there are no technical specifications yet, we know that both cars are designed from scratch and run on a brand-new EV platform. The Honda 0 SUV looks fairly traditional with a two-space body layout, hinged doors and a few original trim details to keep things fresh. In contrast, the Honda 0 Saloon sports a single-space body without a rear window. It also had pop-up doors in an earlier design iteration, but the company replaced them in the latest version.

The SUV will be the first to reach production in Ohio, USA in the first half of 2026. The sedan is scheduled to follow it in the second half of the year.

Powering the electronics on board is Asimo OS, an in-house developed operating system named after Honda’s Asimo robot that it built a quarter of a century ago. The system comes laden with AI tricks and supports machine learning; drivers can expect autopilot features rated up to SAE Level 3.

The Zero lineup will first go on sale in the United States and later expand worldwide. Honda expects to add five more EVs to it over the course of the next few years, bringing the total up to seven. All examples made in North America will be fitted with a NACS-standard charging port compatible with Tesla outlets.
