Toyota to expand its hybrid vehicle lineup in North America
David Christ, CEO of Toyota North America, has revealed that the company will be bringing new hybrid options to the U.S. market in the near future.
Furthermore, he said that these cars may ultimately phase out the traditional ICE cars completely. The latest Camry is a prime example of this policy – you cannot buy it without an electric add-on of some kind.
The RAV4 is next in line for becoming hybrid-only, and other models are set to follow soon. Right now, every second RAV4 that Toyota sells in the United States is a hybrid.
