Someone is willing to pay $2,227,777 for this modern Lambo Countach

One out of 112 Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 examples planned for production based on the Sian chassis is now up for auction with the bidding at U.S. $2,227,777 and a few days remaining on the clock.

The Italian automaker revealed the Countach LPI 800-4 three years ago as an anniversary special celebrating 50 years of the original Countach. It features a modern appearance largely dictated by the Sian chassis underneath, but wears lots of new body panels and has plenty of design traits likening it to the legendary classic.

A 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 under the hood receives assistance from a single electric motor built into a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The total amounts to 814 PS (803 hp / 600 kW), and is enough to send the car from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds.

The owner of this example bought it in the United Stated in February 2023. As evidenced by the documents posted on the auction website, it cost over $2.8 million with all the OEM options, including $105,000 worth of carbon-fiber body kit parts and $78,000 worth of individual trim elements (both exterior and interior).

The seller claims that it is the only Countach LPI 800-4 model in the two Americas to flaunt a gorgeous golden shade known as Oro Elios. It also has a drawing by the marque’s chief designer, Mitya Borchert, under the hood, along with the signatures of all the engineers who designed the car.

The odometer shows only 137 kilometers (85 miles) since new.
