Japan gets a trio of identical microvan EVs from different brands

The Toyota Pixis Van, the Suzuki Every and the Daihatsu Hijet will all go on sale this year featuring the same platform, bodywork and interior.

The badge-engineered tiny vans are all based on the gas-powered Daihatsu van platform. Despite this fact, all three are fully electric with no option for an ICE powertrain. The premieres are expected in March, but the first photos suggest that they will all be identical except for the logos. Daihatsu also says it will produce all three at its own factory.

Although the companies announced these microvans back in 2023, there has been no mention of their technical specifications. The only thing we know is that their electric range is going to be capped at 200 kilometers, or 124 miles.
