Ferrari-based Ælla-60 supercar can be yours for $0.9M

Anthony Jannarelly, Chief Designer at Caterham Cars Ltd., has sketched up his dream supercar on what appears to be a Ferrari chassis. It only exists in digital form right now, but production will start as soon as there are five buyers willing to hand over €865,000 (nearly $900,000) for it.

Jannarelly doesn’t say what car the Ælla-60 is based upon, but everything points to the legendary Ferrari 360. This includes an aluminum frame and a 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 installed in a transaxle fashion. Normally capable of 400 PS (395 hp / 295 kW) or so, it is said to output 480 PS (473 hp / 353 kW) in the restomod.

The exterior doesn’t remind us of any Ferrari as much as it reminds us of the Caterham Project V Concept from 2023. It sports beautiful wing-like doors, a smooth roofline, laconic round lights all around and a livery composed of multiple shades of blue. Gold accents round off the impressive image.

According to its creator, the car weighs as little as 1,130 kilograms (2,491 lbs) and needs 3.5 seconds to go from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph).

If need be, the production quantity will be increased up to 60 units. Caterham plans on using the Podium Advanced Technologies assembly line in Italy, which has been churning out such wonderful exotics as the Porsche 928 Nardone and the Eccentrica Diablo.
