JCR found the optimal ways to tune this Porsche 911 S/T

The iconic Porsche 911 S/T is unique for a whole number of reasons. It’s one of the last non-turbo 911 models, still uses a six-speed MT instead of a PDK, and weighs less than any other car from the 992 lineup. In other words, it’s pure bliss for Porsche purists. But can it be improved further? JCR says yes.

The UK-based tuning company knew exactly what it did when it set out to upgrade the car. It didn’t mess at all with its identity – no turbos, no over-the-top body kits or anything like that. Instead, it went for the few bits that actually matter in a track tool like this.

For one thing, it replaced the exhaust system with a lighter one made of titanium, added high-flow Inconel catalysts and a valve for a particularly dramatic soundtrack. The 911 lost 21 kilos (46 pounds) while gaining 26 PS (26 hp / 19 kW) and 50 Nm (36 lb-ft) of torque just from this one modification.

Aluminum alignment plates were installed at the front axle to allow for adjusting camber up to 3.8 degrees to the negative, as opposed to the standard 2.5 degrees. Lighter and stronger carbon-ceramic brakes were sourced from the Surface Transforms shelf, and matte-black decals made it onto the body. The wheels were allowed to remain stock, but JCR put low-drag hubcaps on them for an extra bit of performance.

No pricing details have been released yet, but CarBuzz says similar tune-ups cost around $50,000.
