Should Chevy produce a small truck like this?

General Motors took to the social media with rough sketches depicting a compact-sized pickup truck wearing Chevrolet badges.

Like the brand’s larger vehicles, it has the same boxy body outlines and rather striking headlights. The company never revealed the story behind the sketches, but it looks like it sees a market opportunity in a pickup like this.

On a related note, General Motors had toyed with the idea of a small and nimble truck for the USA before, but ultimately decided not to offer one in the United States last year. South America is a different story, because the company has its lightweight Chevrolet Montana there (see video).
