Restored Ford Bronco selling at a nice premium

The owner of this 1975 Ford Bronco bought it for U.S. $57,000 four years ago and handed over to Texan body shop Badass Broncos for restoration. The result is currently being sold at Bring-a-Trailer with one day left and the bidding already at $80,000.

The off-roader was stripped down to the bare frame and resprayed in Navy Blue Metallic. Contrary to the latest trends, the owner opted for retro-style chromed bumpers, but ordered all lights and windows replaced with their modern counterparts. Whoever buys it will be getting two tops – a hardtop for the wintertime and a soft top for the warmer season.

A peek under the hood reveals a 5.0-liter Ford Coyote V8 mated to all four wheels through a ten-speed auto transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Upgraded axles, Bilstein shocks, new driveshafts and 15-inch alloy wheels shod in 35-inch tires mean it should also handle in a much more modern way.

The interior is just as nice as the exterior with brown leather covering all seats, the middle armrest and some of the dashboard. There is a Pioneer audio system on board, a climate control system and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
