Meet the VW ID. Aura, a cheap sedan EV for China

Volkswagen will be bringing a compact electric saloon named the ID. Aura to the Auto Shanghai expo next week.

It will be exhibited at the German manufacturer’s booth alongside two previously announced SUVs, the ID. Evo and ID. Era.

Designed between FAW and Volkswagen at their joint enterprise in China, the ID. Aura will be the brand’s first car to run on an innovative platform called the CEA. It was designed specifically for affordable EVs targeting the Chinese domestic market.
