Renault Astral shows up on a new teaser pic

Since December, Renault has been teasing us with a Kadjar replacement named the Austral. The latest quartet of colored teaser pics reveals what its side profile will look like.

The shadows mask the details well, but there are a few hints from the manufacturer itself. For one, Renault claims the lower body of the car has a sharply defined transition line. It has Micro-Optic headlamps at the front end (the same or similar to the Megane E-Tech Electric) and dual C-shaped taillights merged via an unusually shaped junction light.

On the technical side of things, it is official that the Astral will not offer any diesel options. Instead, it will ship with a range of hybrid powertrains, including a 1.2L TCe 48-volt mild hybrid.
