Mansory shows us what its idea of a Porsche 911 Cabriolet looks like

Ostentatious luxury is among the last things the Porsche 911 is usually associated with, but Mansory still reckoned it could do with a load of bling, as well as 900 horsepower under the hood.

The project is called P9LM Evo 900 and is based on the latest 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. The German tuner showed us its coupe counterpart a couple of years ago, but this is the first time we same the same styling bits on a convertible. These include widened fenders, side skirts, air intakes, side mirror caps and lots of “forged carbon” trims. The rear end looks especially menacing with its giant diffuser and rear wing. Centerlock forged wheels with carbon inserts round off the radical exterior.

Inside, there is white leather covering every surface in view, an unusually shaped steering wheel, and carbon-backed racing seats. Purple accents and contrast stitching work to create a coherent color scheme between the body and the cabin.

The sports car’s 3.8-liter flat-six engine stays in place, but larger turbos and downpipes, as well as some other upgrades allow it to churn out 900 PS (888 hp / 662 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft) of torque. That’s a hefty boost compared to the stock 650 PS (640 hp / 478 kW).
