This 1,000bhp Mazda RX-7 sounds like a F1 racecar

Hoonigan Daily Transmission has released another awesome video telling us about one of their more recent projects. Hit ‘Play’, you won’t regret it!

The team tackled a Mazda RX-7 this time around, a sports car that comes equipped with a Wankel rotary engine with 2.6 liters of displacement room at its disposal. Despite the respectable age of 28 years, the engine sends up to 700 hp (522 kW) along with 607 Nm (448 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels. You’d think that’s plenty of power as it is; that’s why you are not on the Hoonigan team.

After all the black magic under the hood, the sporty ride is now capable of surpassing the 1,000 hp mark, (745 kW) and revs up to 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque. What’s also interesting, it now screams like a Formula One projectile!

Outside, this Mazda RX-7 wears a custom body kit crowned by a massive rear wing. Inside, there is a sturdy-looking roll cage painted bright red, two bucket seats, a sports steering wheel, and everything you may need for drifting, such as the handbrake and the special gear selector.
