The Lexus UX couldn’t possibly stoop any lower than this

Rowen International, a Japanese auto customizer known for its love towards over-the-top body kits and ‘slammed’ suspension, has gradually switched from sports cars to SUVs over the past couple of years – but never bothered to review its design approach.

So, what we have here, contrary to expectations, is not a station wagon with collapsed suspension, but rather a luxury-laden Lexus UX with a brand-new body kit, air shocks, and custom wheels. It will be present at the 2020 Tokyo Auto Salon for everyone to see starting from January 10, but in the meantime, you can get the idea just by looking at the pictures.

The front spoiler is brand-new and sports integrated DRLs. The skirts look stock except for the rounding elements at the ends. At the rear, the diffuser is by far the most impressive part, but it sits on a matte-grey molding that looks completely out of place, despite the same-color wheel arch inlays. Painting the entire kit over in the same gloss-black tone as the car body would have been preferable, in our opinion.

Moving on to the wheels, Rowen installs its own forged set here with silver-tinted spoke/rim faces and matte-black base. The dual finish looks decidedly good and makes the wheels appear at least a full size larger than they are.
