It’s Official: Next-gen Skoda Fabia coming in 2021

Speaking in a recent interview, Skoda CEO Thomas Schaefer has confirmed that the next generation of the Fabia model would be coming to the market in 2021. He did not provide any details except for calling it “an excellent car” that the company had “high hopes for”.

There is little doubt that the next-gen Fabia takes strongly after its technical siblings: the Volkswagen Polo and the Audi A1 Sportback. Being based on the same MQB-A0 architecture, it should ship with plenty of new safety and comfort-oriented equipment.

The engine range will likely include three-cylinder gasoline options and hybrid systems, but no diesels.

Whether the estate/wagon version of the Fabia stays in the lineup or not is not clear at this point, but the performance-oriented Fabia RS may make a comeback.
