550 PS and 38-inch wheels: Vivid Racing’s Toyota Tundra is downright brutal

Modifying the second-gen Toyota Tundra (XK50) is easy and yields great results, so it is quite popular among tuning aficionados. The latest example comes from Vivid Racing, and it looks rather extreme.

The team starts things off by stuffing a Magnuson TVS1900 supercharger under the hood, raising the output of the 5.7-liter V8 to 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW) and 705 Nm (520 lb-ft) of torque. This alone would be enough to stand out from the off-roading crowd, but look at the wheels.

The pickup sits on in-house designed rims wrapped in Thompson Baja Boss rubber 38 inches (975 millimeters) wide. Combines with a hefty suspension lift, they turn the Tundra into a monster truck that will probably have no trouble at all with exploring actual tundra.

The full upgrade kit costs $7,000. Watch the video for details.
