Seat facelifts Arona & Ibiza heading into 2022

Seat has simultaneously revealed mid-life updates for two of its models, the Arona SUV and the Ibiza hatchback. The former seems to have changed a fair bit more.

Powertrains stay unchanged from their latest upgrade last year. The refreshed Ibiza gets a new radiator grille pattern and the Arona new bumpers. Both get redesigned wheels and badges. LED-based headlights and daytime running lights are now included as standard in all trims.

The Xcellence trim is no longer available for the Arona. Instead, buyers are invited to go for an off-road focused package dubbed Xperience, which includes a special front bumper and a body kit.

The two compact cars continue to share the same interior layout, but new vivid details help liven things up a bit. The trim becomes better overall, the side air vents are now round instead of rectangular, and the blowers in the middle have traded places with the infotainment touchscreen. The latter is available in 8.25- and 9.2-inch sizes, and a digital dash display is obtainable at a premium.

Rounding off the list is a package named Travel Assist, which adds lane control, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency brake, traffic sign recognition, and automatic parking.

Sales will begin in the summer.
