Kia’s EV6 has more range than advertised

Kia has just completed the mandatory range certification routine for its newest electric SUV, the EV6 – and apparently, the car can cover 528 km (328 miles) on a charge.

Having this much charge would enable you to make a trip from Paris to Geneva without having to stop and refill the battery. When Kia introduced the EV6, it promised us about 510 km (317 miles) of range from the largest (77.4-kWh) battery available.

Powering the base spec is a 58-kWh battery and either one (170 PS / 168 hp / 125 kW) or two (235 PS / 232 hp / 173 kW) electric motors. No range estimations have been provided yet. The top spec – EV6 GT – produces 589 PS (581 hp / 433 kW) and also has unspecified range.
