Ford Puma Hybrid shows up on a pre-WRC track test day

The Ford Fiesta rally car retired last year, and the manufacturer will now be using its part-electric Puma SUV for the Rally1 category of the WRC. The vehicle has recently been filmed driven on the official track test day in Monte Carlo before the start.

The crossover SUV has all-wheel drive and benefits from an external frame bracing its body from various sides. It uses a 1.6-liter turbo and an electric motor to hit the wheels with 507 PS (500 hp / 373 kW) total. The company does not reveal individual performance ratings of the motors.

The first out of 17 WRC stages starts in a few days.
