BMW M4 CSL crops up in a spy video

The new M4 CSL will hit the stage soon – on May 20 – but in the meantime, here are some of its spy photos and a video.

One of BMW’s hottest two-door cars can be seen rocking a ducktail spoiler, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R performance tires, and an automatic transmission (as evidenced by the video). It makes intensive use of carbon fiber to stay as light as possible, and ditches the rear seat row for the same purpose.

Rumor has it that the M4 CSL will utilize a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine boosted to over 550 PS (542 hp / 404 kW). Combined with its low curb weight, it means the car will be a serious track weapon straight from the factory.
