We have already covered quite a few wooden car replicas in our news, but there’s something special about them that makes us want to revisit them again and again. And can you blame us when the result looks as perfect as this 1936 500K Special Roadster does?

YouTuber Awesome Woodcraft took care to document the entire creation process, so you can watch the video and decide for yourself which part you like the most. The 500K Special Roadster is widely considered one of the most stunningly beautiful vehicles in automotive history, and as you can see, the wooden reproduction does it justice with its unprecedented level of detail.

The work starts with just a few wood blocks. Large circular saws are used at first to saw it into shape, and the rest is made possible with lots of chiseling, hammering, polishing, skill, and patience.

The wheels are particularly eye-catching with spokes made from toothpicks. As for the overall level of detail, notice that even the tire treads are faithfully reproduced, to say nothing of the engine bay and the cabin.
